About RepairPath
RepairPath is a free training site for anyone who wants to learn to repair smartphones, laptops and computers, and to start a repair business. It is built from The Repair Technician's Handbook (First Edition, November 2026).
Read before you start. Repair work involves mains voltage, lithium batteries that can catch fire, high temperatures and sharp glass. Work under supervision while learning, follow the safety lesson, and stop if you are unsure. You are responsible for your own safety and for the devices you work on.
How accurate is it?
Fixed physical facts are stated directly. Values that vary by model (exact board voltages, part locations, screw lengths) are never invented — lessons show you how to find them in the schematic, boardview, service manual, or a known-good device. Laws, fees, prices and manufacturer programmes were checked in November 2026 and will change: confirm with the agency or manufacturer before acting.
Ethics
This site teaches repair, not circumvention. It does not teach removing Activation Lock or Factory Reset Protection from devices whose ownership you cannot verify, or changing IMEI numbers.
Your data
The site has no accounts. Your lesson progress, checklists, quiz scores, exam results, equipment prices and shop records are saved only in your own browser (local storage) and are never sent to us. Clearing your browser data clears them.
Advertising
This site may show ads from Google AdSense to keep it free. On pages with ads, Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technology to show ads and measure them, based on your visits to this and other websites. How Google uses information from sites that use its services. You can turn off personalised ads in Google's Ad Settings. Visitors in Europe, the UK and Switzerland are asked for consent first.
Never ads: certification exams, certificate verification, Shop tools, Instructor tools and the poster pack load no ad code at all, so nothing can interrupt an exam or appear on a printed job order, receipt or certificate.
Works offline
After your first visit, the site is cached by your browser and keeps working without internet — useful at the bench. On a phone, use your browser's “Add to Home screen” to install it like an app.
Not legal, tax or financial advice
The business chapters give general information about Philippine registration and compliance. Consult the agencies and a qualified accountant for your situation.
